<article-title>Protests, Knowledge and Agroecological Social Movements. A Decolonial Analysis of the Argentine Case between 2019-2023</article-title>
</title-group>
<volume>24</volume>
<issue>9</issue>
<p>The following article explores Argentina&#039;s agroecological social movements from a decolonial perspective, focusing on the study of the knowledge they use to resist and question the hegemony of the agroindustrial food system. To do this, there are analyzed the demands expressed by this actor through the protests that it led between 2019 and 2023. The main results show that a variety of knowledge are expressed in the protests depending on the type of demands expressed by the convening organizations, such as agroecology, sovereignty and access to land. This knowledge is combined with another series of definitions that, although diverse, have in common the expression of “controversies” regarding agribusiness and alternatives to build “life projects.” Finally, the knowledge that was identified in the protests has different levels of complexity and has both symbolic and material meanings.</p>
