<abstract><p>The article deals with the issue of traditions continuity and innovations in Kazakh childlore, which originates from folklore and covers examples of different eras literature. Small genres in children’s literature such as counting rhyme, satire, riddles, tongue twisters that covered in short stories, fairy tales and poems are systematically examined in a consistent manner. Also, it includes concrete examples that universal values covered in the works by Y. Altynsarin and A. Kunanbaev, who are the founders of folklore works children’s literature, are legally continued in the works of modern contemporary writers. Kazakh children quenched their thirst for knowledge, literature through the works by A. Baitursynuly, Zh.Aimauytuly, Sh.Kudaiberdiuly, M. Zhumabayuly, S. Donentayev, S. Kobeev, S. Toraigyrov, S. Seifullin, B. Maylin, I. Zhansugurov, M. Auezov, S. Mukanov, S. Begalin, U. Turmanzhanov, A. Tazhibayev, Zh.Smakov, M. Alimbayev, S. Bakbergenov, A. Duissenbiev, T. Moldagaliev, their works instilled in children a love of learning. In their works for children writers have enriched the content and form of small genres that originate in oral literature. The artistic quest of the poet and writers is reflected in children’s fairy tales, poem-fairy tales, poem-legends and satirical, fantastic poems based on myth, fables. In contemporary Kazakh literature, O. Akypbekuly, B. Suleimenov and other children’s book writers continue to tongue twisters, counting rhyme, satire, riddles, tales, legends, myths, fairy tales and poems for children.</p></abstract>
