Note-taking is of paramount importance in the teaching of interpreting. However, many problems exist in studentsƒ?? note-taking. To solve such problems, this research suggested solutions concerned with the language selection, content and quantity, use of symbols and abbreviations, coordination between note-taking and memory, etc. Student-centered note-taking teaching principles requires students 1) to understand first; 2) to memorize by brain and to support with notes; 3) to identify studentsƒ?? problems; 4) to practice in groups; 5) to conduct comprehensive evaluation. It also emphasized the teacherƒ??s and studentsƒ?? qualifications for successful student-centered teaching of note-taking, in order to improve studentsƒ?? interpreting skills and enhance the efficiency of interpreting teaching.
