Kornelia Golombek was born in Poland and moved to Germany with her family during the martial law period in the early 1980s. After completing her education and studies in pedagogy, sociology, and psychology at Westphalia-Wilhelms University, she built a nearly 29-year career as a lecturer in social sciences, qualitative research methods, intercultural communication, and academic language courses. She is currently completing her dissertation on fatherhood practices among Polish temporary migrants in the construction industry across Poland, Germany, and Belgium. A writer and researcher, she has published extensively on migration studies and speaks Polish, Russian, German, and English. She is also passionate about animal rights and Chinese sports.
