Calculations, Implications of GDP Demand on Socio-Economic Growth- an Indian Perspective post-COVID-19

Abstract

This paper aims to evaluate the relationship between India's rapid GDP growth and its socioeconomic development. While GDP has been a crucial indicator of the country's economic progress, the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and society has raised concerns. This paper analyses economic data calculations to assess the impact of both domestic and external demands on GDP growth and the role of FDI in driving economic
growth. Additionally, this theoretical paper considers the limitations of using GDP as a metric and its implications on various socio-economic sectors and examines the challenges that need to be addressed to strengthen the positive impact of GDP on the Indian economy Overall, the study highlights the need for policy initiatives to prioritize inclusive development, ensuring that the assistances of economic growth are distributed more justifiably across society.
