Ovarian Surface Bleeding Following Transvaginal Oocyte Retrieval ‘ A rare complication

Complications following transvaginal oocyte retrieval (TVOR), although rare needs attention as it is an elective procedure. We present a case of ovarian surface bleeding, which we encountered post TVOR. Patient was diagnosed with intraabdominal blood collection noted on ultrasound along with fall in hemoglobin. The ovarian surface bleed was from a ‘crater’ on its surface which was cauterized successfully by laparoscopy.
