Abstract

Various forms of tourism have emerged and become popular in the modern era due to the quick evolution of tourism industry to fulfill the needs and preferences of travelers. One of these types of tourism is agrotourism, which is also known as agritourism, farm tourism, green tourism, and other synonyms in global literature. Although agrotourism is still in its infancy in Azerbaijan, there are plenty of reasons for it to grow, including a friendly populace, a temperate climate, stunning natural surroundings, a wealth of tourism resources, and the existence of farms that specialize in farming and animal husbandry. This article investigates and analyzes legislation that has had a direct or indirect impact on agrotourism development in Azerbaijan, as well as projects carried out in collaboration with local and international organizations, including European Union-supported initiatives to promote agrotourism throughout Europe. The findings are based on recent studies, official records, material obtained from official websites, and research papers.
