Level of Scientific Rigor in Thesis of 2017 in the Faculty of Medicine, University of El Savador

Abstract

A sample of 55 research papers to qualify for an academic degree that were enrolled in the Library of the Faculty of Medicine in 2017 was reviewed. Realizing the scientific rigor with which the degree studies are accepted is the objective of the study.

The theory consulted allowed establishing the parameters to investigate in each document. The sample included the same number of degree projects from each of the eleven professions formed by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Salvador; the choice of documents was random.

There are skill stow rite the objectives of research with scientific rigor. Also, it was possible to demonstrate low level of scientific rigor in a good part of the documents because, mainly, of lack of organic coherence between the components evaluate din the study and also to the deficient way of expressing the conclusions.
