Students’ Conflict Attitudes Towards Online Learning and Traditional Learning at Al-Baha University During the Outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The recent paper aims at investigating students’ conflict attitudes towards online learning comparing to traditional learning at Al-Baha University during the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic. A questionnaire was used to measure students’ attitudes towards traditional and online learning. It is composed of 29 items. The questionnaire was distributed on 238 students online. Data was collected and analyzed using SPSS. The findings showed that students like the experience of online learning as it has many advantages such as saving and organizing their time, getting rid of shyness in traditional classroom, review their lectures through recorded lectures and exchanging information with their colleagues. However, they could not see online learning mode as an alternative for Traditional learning. For them, traditional learning provides them with an appropriate environment for learning, competition and communication with their teachers and colleagues. Online learning can go in parallel with traditional learning but not as an alternative. Recommendation and suggestions offered at the end of the paper.
