Abstract
His article addresses, from a conciliatory perspective, Hayden White’s metahistorical proposal, in order to know the implications of thinking about a poetics of historiographical narrative, since the poetic is generally conceived as something diametrically opposed to historical reason. Emphasis is then made that, beyond considering the aesthetic aspect, White’s proposal transcends the plane to the deep articulation of the historiographical story, revealing a dimension of the historian’s work that closely complements the research work with the work of writing. (just as a disk requires both sides to be such).
