Abstract

The present paper seeks to discuss the importance and urgency to improve delivery of public services particularly through the rigorous use of technology. The paper is divided into three sections: the first section focusses on the understanding of the significance of public service delivery in the context of public administration. The discussion broadly explains how the quality of governance is upgraded through the active use of technology in administration to achieve the goals of inclusive and sustainable development. The second section of the discussion is constituted by few case studies to comprehend the implications of technological intervention to optimize public service delivery and address challenges like corruption and other malpractices in governance mechanisms. The third section of the discussion is concluded with reference to certain challenges in the implementation of public service delivery initiatives through the adoption of technological innovation.
