Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of the constructionist approach to teaching and learning in addressing the circle theorem difficulties of pre-service teachers at Gbewaa College of Education, Pusiga. The study employs an action research design, and the sample consists of forty level 100A pre-service teachers. A questionnaire and pre- and post-test were used to capture data, and their validity and reliability were confirmed. The results indicate that the constructionist approach is effective for enhancing pre-service teachers' comprehension of circle theorems, and it can be used as an alternative method for teaching circle theorems. This study's findings can benefit both student instructors and mathematics educators by informing the development of more effective mathematics teaching strategies.
