Abstract
Vanniya Kula Kshtriya (A race born out of fire) or Agni Kula Kshtriya were predominantly Warriors and Polygars in the post Chola Pandya era. They were called upon several titles such as Naicker, Padayachi, Thondaiman, Pallavarayar, Sambuvarayars as they are entitled according to the region they live. They were chiefly part of the armies of Vijayanagar Empire, Marathas and to the British. They even ruled as kings in certain regions of Tamilnadu appointed by the Rulers of Vijayanagar Empire. One such clan of Vannia kula Kshtriya is my lineage.
