Abstract

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the economic crisis and the social inequalities related to it become even more evident, including in the field of health. From an interdisciplinary and intersectional perspective, we carried out a qualitative, exploratory, bibliographic and documentary research, and we propose to discuss the importance of understanding the health-disease process through criteria that are not based only on the biomedical view. We analyzed the texts dealing with Covid-19, published in the Rico Vasconcelos column, from January 2020 to June 2021, and we verified how many articles on this theme were posted and whether they were prepared taking into account social inequalities, conditions and the determinants of health.
